God’s Family Suffers Together (Hebrews 13:1-6)

Main Point:  Persecution is used by God to grow the Body of Christ.

I. The enemy intends to separate you from Jesus.  (v 1-5)
            A. Satan wants believers to be divided. (v 1)
            B. Satan wants believers to feel alone.  (v 2)
            C. Satan wants believers to be distracted. (v 3)
            D. Satan wants believers to be discontent.  (v 4-5)

II. God intends to unite the Body of Christ. (v 1-5)
           
A. In Christ, you belong to God’s family.  (v 1-2)
            B. In Christ, you do not suffer alone.  (v 3)
            C. In Christ, you learn to depend on God’s provision.  (v 4-5)

III. God uses persecution to grow His family. (v 6)
            A. Persecuted believers put faith on display.
            B. Praying for and encouraging them is love on display.
            C. Love Jesus by loving those who suffer for Him.
