Passage:  Genesis 31:14-55

Main Point:  The Giver of peace gives generously to teach us to walk by faith.

I. Walk forward in faith, don’t run in fear.  (31:14-21)
            A. Recounting God’s provision corrects my vision.
            B. Our unity begins with our hope in Jesus Christ.
            C. Cast off the idols that steal the peace of trusting God.

II. God is the powerful rescuer of His people.  (31:22-42)
            A. In Christ, sin has no hold on us, so stop sinning!
            B. In Christ, condemnation is gone!  (Romans 8:1)
            C. In Christ, I have full access to the throne of God.

III. God offers Himself to us as the God of Peace.  (31:43-55)
            A. Relying on God results in peace, hoping in man results in fear.
            B. As we grow in Christ, we grow apart from the flesh.
            C. Worship the God of Peace, who never fails
