Euodia & Syntyche – We Are All One in Christ (Philippians 4:2)

Passage:  Philippians 4:2

Main Point:  We are one in Christ so we must behave that way.

I. Every church eventually faces conflict.
         A. Euodia and Syntyche are at odds.
         B. Conflict is a theme in the book of Philippians.
         C. The true partner (suzugos) is asked to help.

II. The threat of conflict is division among the believers.
         A. The church at Philippi begins.  Acts 16:11-12
         B. Luke remains in Philippi to help with the work.
         C. The true partner (of Philippians 4:2) may have been Luke.

III. Our union with Christ compels our unity with one another.
            A. Conflict creeps in when you aren’t looking.
                        1.  Sometimes it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
                        2.  Or it might be good people with strong convictions.
                        3.  They must find a way through or around.
            B. Sometimes people in conflict just need help.
