Main Point: We see God’s love in the cross, through life’s turns and in times of loss.

I. God’s love for us is greater than we realize. (1-14)
            A. Have great expectations of our good God.
            B. Jacob gives me a glimpse of how much Jesus loves us.
            C. God’s love for us deserves an expression of praise.

II. A loving God will not let me get away with sin. (15-30)
            A. I learn that sin has a cost.
            B. I learn that I have no excuse.
            C. I learn about the humbling process of sanctification.

III. I learn more of God’s love song when I suffer. (31-35)
            A. We are blind to the hurts many are carrying.
            B. God’s love is enough to satisfy the brokenhearted.
            C. Sing God’s praises in all situations.
