Passage:  Colossians 3:1-11

Main Point:  Growing in Christ means to be more like Him.

I. In Christ, you are seated in heaven already.  (v 1-4)
            A. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God.
            B. You are in Christ so set your mind there.
            C. Live today in what will be revealed someday.

II. Be like Christ, not like those who deceive.  (v 5-7)
            A. Put the old nature away.
            B. Avoid the things God condemns.

III. Be like Christ toward one another.  (v 8-11)
            A. Work on your inner attitude and behavior.  (James 1:20)
            B. Treat each other with love and respect.
            C. Cherish the church of Jesus Christ.
