Passage:  Job 2:9-10

Main Point:  We respond to suffering with faith in God.

I. Suffering is part of life.
            A. The fall brought a curse on the planet.  (Genesis 3:17)
            B. The results of the fall affect us all.  (Romans 3:23)

II. We respond to suffering by faith in God.
            A. We do not deny we are hurting.  (Psalm 60:1)
            B. But we trust the heart of God.  (Philippians 4:13)

III. We realize suffering teaches us.
            A. We pursue Christ not answers.  (Job 13:24,25)
            B. We refocus on real priorities.  (Matthew 24:35)
            C. We are blessed by the kindness of others.  (Galatians 4:15)
            D. We are trained for greater challenges.  (James 1:2-4)
            E. We do not forget the coming glory.  (Romans 8:18-25)
