Passage:  Genesis 8:1-9:29

Main Point:  God has revealed and fulfilled his promise to rescue us from sin.

I. We patiently wait while God powerfully works.  (8:1-19)
            A. Remember God’s patient promise of grace.
            B. Bloom where you’re planted.
            C. Look for God to work and listen for God to speak.
            D. Resist the temptation to push the door before God opens it.

II. God works to provide for and to save humanity. (8:20-9:17)
            A. The cost of sin and salvation is too great for me.
            B. Life is precious and must be handled with care.
            C. God reminds us of his faithfulness, so we won’t fret and fear.  (Isaiah 43:2)

III. Only a sinless son can break the cycle of sin and death. (20-29)
            A. I need to acknowledge my sin before a righteous God.
            B. God provides a covering for sin.
            C. Faith in God results in the blessing of salvation.
