Passage:  Mark 6:14-28

Main Point:  Today is always the day to confess sin and live in forgiveness.

I. God’s plan was for Jesus to deal with my sin. (14-20)
            A. Jesus is God’s promised love and mercy.
            B. Ignoring the conscience results in mental imbalance.
            C. Conviction of sin is God’s invitation to repent.

II. Don’t try to manage sin; it is a trap. (21-28)
            A. We don’t want to look bad.
            B. We don’t like the word, “No”.
            C. We want to give and not receive.
            D. We think we have time.
            E. We are legalists.

III. The time to repent is now. (27-28)
            A. These are the last days.
            B. Sin is paid for at the cross.
            C. Live forgiven and forgive others.
