Passage:  Galatians 3:1-9

Main Point:  Ground yourself in the person and finished work of Jesus Christ.

I. Get your mind in the game—God’s enemy plays for keeps. (v.1-5)
            A. Recall how you came to be in God’s family.
            B. Recognize that spiritual growth is also “by faith”.
            C. Remember those suffering for Christ.
            D. Remember God’s power is only accessed by faith.

II. Get your mind in God’s playbook—the enemy cheats. (v.6-9)
            A. Abraham was declared righteous while a Gentile.   (cf. Gen. 15:6; 17:24)
            B. Beware of the enemy’s guilt-trips and workout plans!
            C. Believe in the inspiration and authority of Scripture.   (cf. Jn. 10:35b; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
            D. Believe like Abraham, be blessed like Abraham.
