Main Idea: God’s glorious time perspective: His view of the Past – Present – Future in His Body the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I. WHAT WE ONCE WERE: (2:1-3)
      Our old position & condition.
      AMAZING DEPTHS – PRIOR TO JESUS – OUR PRIOR WALK
            A. Dead in trespasses and sins. (2:1)
            B. Walking and working influenced by the world & Satan (2:2)
            C. Controlled by lust and flesh (2:3a)
            D. Under God’s wrath (2:3b)

II. WHAT GOD DID: (2:4-6)
      Our new position & condition because of Jesus Christ our Lord.
      AMAZING LOVE – AMAZING HEIGHTS

      The hinge that swings open wide…
            A. He loved us (2:4)
            B. He liberated us (2:5)
            C. He lifted us (2:6)

III. WHY GOD DID IT: (2:7)
      The future
      AMAZING RICHES via an AMAZING GIFT

      To show His surpassing riches& kindness.

IV. HOW GOD DID IT: (2:8-9)
      Our new life
      AMAZING GRACE VIA AN AMAZING GIFT!
            A. Through His special favor (2:8a)
            B. Through faith (2:8b-9)

V. WHAT WE ARE NOW: (2:10)
      Our new practice –Good works.
      AMAZING WORK – OUR WALK NOW
            A. We are products of grace (2:10)
      HIS WORKMANSHIP
                        1) The task: (2:10a) We have been created in Christ to good works!
                        2) The time: (2:10b) This was planned before the foundation of the world.
