Passage:  Psalm 36:1-12

Main Point:  Awaken to the value of the grace of God, who is able to save.

I. Rejecting God results in a calloused self-orientation. (v.1-4)
            A. The fear of God in society restrains evil.
            B. Admit sin before it is too late.
            C. Rejecting God has devastating consequences.

II. Participate in the relationship God offers. (5-9)
            A. Our God is the God who saves.
            B. God offers Himself to each of us.
            C. Without the God of life, I am dead in sin’s darkness.

III. Receive the love of God through Jesus Christ. (10-12)
            A. To know God is to love God.
            B. Our best defense is prayer.
            C. Death and punishment await all who reject the Savior.
