Passage:  Mark 2:1-17

Main Point:  Follow Jesus who forgives all sin and redeems what was lost.

I. Jesus teaches us to turn to Him for help. (1-5)
            A. Jesus smiles at adventurous faith and loyal love.
            B. Jesus responds to faith with compassion and forgiveness.
            C. Jesus forgives ALL sin once, completely and forever.
                        (cf. Psalm 103:12; Isaiah 1:18; 55:6-7; Jerimiah 31:34; Micah 7:19)

II. Come to Christ with a soft heart and an open mind. (6-12)
            A. The scribes looked to prove their point and protect their power.
            B. Jesus proved He is God.
            C. Only God has the right and power to judge man’s heart.
            D. God wows many minds without winning their hearts.

III. You were designed to get up and trust in God. (13-17)
            A. Don’t confuse conviction with condemnation.
            B. Without repentance and faith, there can be no redemption.
            C. Praise God for providing a Physician who heals hearts.
