Passage:  Romans 11:17-24

Main Point:  May all who come behind us find us faithful.

I. The believer has no basis for boasting.  (v 17-20)
            A. Many of the Jews did not believe.  
            B. Many of the Gentiles did believe.  
            C. But all believers only stand by faith.  

II. You cannot believe on behalf of another generation.  (v 21-22)
            A. God is both kind and severe but He is not fickle.  
            B. Each generation must believe.  

III. Any generation can turn back to God.  (v 23-24)
            A. Those who were once hardened can believe.  
            B. God can bring life to barren people.
