Main Point:  Christ alone can deliver us from eternal judgment.

I. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would come.
            A. The Holy Spirit was promised.  John 16:5-7
            B. The Holy Spirit has entered the world.   Acts 1:5, 2:4

II. The Holy Spirit leads the lost to Christ.
            A. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin.  John 16:8-9
            B. Jesus’ miracles by the Spirit’s power open the eyes of the lost.  Matthew 12:22-28

III. Resisting the Holy Spirit leads to separation from God.
            A. Those not believing are willfully had-hearted.   Matthew 12:24
            B. Questioning is not the same as denying.
            C. Entering eternity without Christ is without hope.  Matthew 12:31-32
