Women's Ministry

We believe that an effective women’s ministry includes loving and shepherding God’s people.

This fall, the Ladies’ Bible study will begin Tuesday, Sept. 12 and continue until Nov. 28 (we won’t meet on Oct. 31) from 6:45-8:30. We’ll read and discuss the book Lies Women Believe: And the Truth that Sets Them Free by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. You will need a copy of the book and we suggest you order it through Amazon or order it from the site you prefer. Click here to order from Amazon.
This book will walk us through those areas of deception most commonly believed by Christian women and we’ll look in depth at what the Bible says about those subjects. Each week, you will have “homework” broken into 5 days with specific pages of the book to read and Scripture to
analyze. Then we’ll come together on Tuesday evenings to discuss in small groups what we’ve learned and how to apply those Truths to our lives. We’ll discuss lies that we may have believed about God, ourselves, sin, priorities, marriage, children, circumstances and even our emotions.
But the most important part of our discussion will be countering those lies with the truth of God’s Word and how that truth sets us free to live the abundant life that Jesus came to give us, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10.
Who: all the women of the Church; bring a friend, come with a friend.
What to bring: your copy of Lies Women Believe: And the Truth that Sets Them Free, your Bible, a pen and 3 ring notebook (or something similar to hold your “homework” pages that you will receive each week).
Where: in the Fellowship Hall at Church. We’ll sit around round tables and discuss what we have learned. We’re praying you’ll get to know women of all ages and circumstances who desire to walk through those situations with peace, confidence and wholeness.
When: Tuesday evenings from 6:45-8:30 beginning Sept. 12 (we won’t meet Oct. 31) until Nov. 28.
Child care: At this time, we do not have child care planned. Please contact us if this is a hardship for you.
The sessions will be facilitated by one of the Deaconesses of the Church.

Starting on September 20th, and following Wednesdays, we will hold a ladies' Bible study in the morning at 10:00. This study will be for 1st Corinthians. This book will speak God's heart and truth right where we live today, in a culture where anything goes. Join in a S.O.A.P. (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) method class as we study the love and unity of the Spirit Christ offers for your life. Our textbook is the Bible. Bring yours, as well as a notebook and pen. This group is led by Tonja Poe. Contact the church office for more information.
