Men's Ministry

Men's Retreat at the Dunes - May 17-19

This annual event is back!  In May of 2019, men from MVBC and other area churches will gather for a great time of fellowship, some manly activities, and equipping, at the Dunes Bible Camp.

This year's speaker is Alan Hlavka, former Senior Pastor and current Exec. Pastor of Outreach & Care at Good Shepherd Community Church, in Boring, Oregon.  He will be speaking on the "Heart of the Father."  He brings over 40 years of ministry experience, along with his own walk as a husband and father.  You will open scripture and learn about God, your Father and your own role as a man.

Cost: $110 ($90 if registered by May 1st)

On the 3rd Saturday of each month, we gather at Mountain View at 8:00 a.m. to enjoy food, fellowship and some encouragement from God’s Word.  After breakfast, groups of men may break away to do service projects or fun activities designed to reach men for Christ.

 Father and Son Weekend

Three weekends are available in 2019.

  • July 12-14, 2019
  • July 26-28
  • August 2-4

This gathering is aimed at providing a space for the men of your church to live out their calling of healthy fatherhood. The weekend is not driven by new information on how to be a father or son, but by intentional experiences that allow you to be dad and boys to be son's as God intended. This is also a great event to bring the boys that God has put in your path who do not have a father in their home.

Outside of some organized events, great bonding activities include ropes course, hiking, swimming, shooting, paintball, canoeing and much more.

Vist the Sons of Thunder website for more information, cost and registration.

Men’s Roundup  is a yearly gathering of men who Love and Need Jesus.  We camp out at Camp Tadmor, in Lebanon, Oregon, where we are challenged to believe, obey, connect and lead.  There will be praise and worship, life-challenging breakout sessions, great food and opportunities for fellowship. Roundup is also a wonderful opportunity to appreciate God’s beautiful creation with activities such as swimming, shooting, hiking, high ropes course, the Classic 5-K run, and much more.

The cost varies on whether or not you want to bring your own food, or eat the AWESOME food provided at the camp.
